
Dr James Nguyen is a consultant cardiologist and cardiac imaging specialist. He completed his medical degree at Bond University and undertook advanced cardiology training in Brisbane at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital and the Princess Alexandra Hospital. He subsequently completed a dedicated cardiac imaging fellowship at the Princess Alexandra Hospital, developing expertise in advanced transthoracic echocardiography, stress echocardiography, transoesophageal echocardiography and cardiac CT. He is currently completing a further fellowship at The Alfred Hospital, with subspecialty training in cardiac CT and cardiac MRI.
James holds a Master of Internal Medicine from the University of Sydney. He has published research in peer-reviewed journals and has presented his work at national scientific meetings.
His clinical interests include heart failure and cardiomyopathy, valvular heart disease, preventive cardiology, and chest pain assessment. James is committed to delivering patient-centred, compassionate care guided by the latest evidence based medicine.
