Dr Kimberley Chan is a general and imaging cardiologist. Born in Auckland, New Zealand, she completed her medical studies at the University of Melbourne, undertaking physician training at Austin Health and Cardiology training at Western, Alfred and Bendigo Health. During this time, she completed a one-year clinical fellowship in Pulmonary Hypertension.
Kimberley subsequently completed another dedicated multimodality cardiac imaging fellowship at Western Health, where she gained experience in advanced transthoracic and transoesophageal echocardiography, stress echocardiography, cardiac CT and cardiac MRI.
She is passionate about the use of technology in improving healthcare outcomes and is actively involved in several health technology projects through Western Health. She has published research in academic peer-reviewed journals and presented her findings at national scientific meetings. She is also committed to educating the next generation of doctors and remains involved in medical student and physician trainee education.
Her clinical interests include women's cardiology and cardio-obstetrics, pulmonary hypertension, heart failure and cardiomyopathy, and preventative cardiology. She remains, above all else, committed to excellent patient care and the doctor-patient relationship.
